Assistant Marieke Drieling

17 August 2020

Hi everybody! My name is Marieke Drieling and I graduated in 2012 as a veterinarian assistant at the Clusius College in Alkmaar. I live in Amsterdam together with a roommate. After my studies I worked as a veterinarian assistant for a while, but my plan was to become a physiotherapist for animals. So I tried to study physiotherapy, but unfortunately I didn’t succeed in finishing it. However, I am still interested in this field, which comes in handy at Dierenkliniek Vondelpark.

After studying physiotherapy I travelled through Australia and New Zealand for 2 years and worked a lot in the hospitality industry, which was also my last job. I found out that my heart really lies in working with animals so I am very happy to have this opportunity again.

Hopefully I will meet you soon!

Veterinarian Loes

16 November 2019

I’m Loes and together with my husband, daughter, dog and four guinea pigs I live in Amstelveen. To add to all the fun, I also have two horses.

As long as I can remember I wanted to become a veterinarian. People can tell you whats wrong by using words, but animals have different ways of telling us. This is exactly what makes veterinary medicine so interesting for me. You do not only face the medical side, but you also need to take animal behavior and owners into account. Apart from this, veterinary medicine is very divers and you can develop yourself in a lot of different directions. My own interests especially lie in surgery, emergency care, rabbits/rodents and animal behavior.

As a veterinary student I had the opportunity to do my internship at the Vondelpark animal clinic. I was very impressed by the team, the expertise and especially the clients! Therefor I feel privileged to work at animal clinic Vondelpark.

Veterinarian Fleur

16 November 2019

Hi everyone, I’m Fleur Knaap and I work at Dierenkliniek Vondelpark since July 2019.

The reason for me to become a veterinarian was that from childhood (like most veterinarians) I was already busy with animals. We had dogs at home and I had my own pony. I loved being busy with that, and nothing seemed to me more fun than making my hobby my work!

It took a while before it was ready, because I was chosen 4 times before I could start studying my dreams. In 2010 I was finished and after graduation I was allowed to work in many different fun places. In Singapore and England, in business and in practice. Now two years back in the Netherlands and living in Amsterdam together with my wirehaired dachshund Victor.

I am so proud and happy that I am able to work at this beautiful practice with this nice enthusiastic team, every day it is a nice challenge to find the best solution for the clients and their animals.

I hope to see you at the practice soon!

Assistant Lotte

16 November 2019

Hi everybody,

My name is Lotte and I have been working at Dierenkliek Vondelpark since October 2019. In the summer of 2018 I graduated as an assistant. From my internship I moved on to the Medical Center for Animals in the Emergency Department. I enjoyed working here for a year and a half and gained a lot of experience.
Nevertheless, it started to tickle again to go back to a first line clinic where the contact with the animal and the owner is even greater.

All my life I have had a passion for working with animals. My second great passion is traveling. I prefer to combine these two, like I did in 2018 when I went traveling for a few months in Africa where I participated in a volunteer project with wildlife.

I myself have always had pets. At the moment I live together in Haarlem with my two rabbits running around my house all day. Besides dogs and cats my main interest lies with rabbits and rodents.

I hope to get to know you (and your pet) soon!

Veterinarian Babette Ravensbergen

11 March 2019

As a child I had an early interest in the medical field and I was a big animal lover. It was no surprise that I chose the study veterinary medicine. My first year of studies was in Ghent (Belgium), but after a year I came back to our beautiful small country to finish my study at the University of Utrecht. The learning to become a vet I varied with more practical work as a veterinary assistant.

In 2013 I graduated. Shortly after, I got offered a job at a clinic in Hoofddorp and after that I worked for 5 years at a clinic in Haarlem. From January 2019 I’m part of the fantastic team of Veterinary clinic Vondelpark.

What I like the most in my work as a vet, is the contact with the patients, but also with the owners. I find it a challenge to work with the owner and together get to a diagnosis and treatment. My interest is mostly surgery and especially laparoscopic surgery (surgery by means of a camera). Other than that I also have a special interest in dermatology.

In my spare time I do sports, I like to travel the word, but I also find it very nice to relax at home with my red cat Moos.

I am looking forward to meet you in our clinic!

Assistant Joy Zonneveld

29 October 2018

Hi everyone!

I am Joy Zonneveld and I live in Heemskerk.
From a very young age I’ve always loved animals, that’s why I started the Paraveterinary course. During my internship at Vondelpark Animal Clinic I had a great time and I am also lucky that after my internship I was allowed to come and work here! I graduated in June 2018 as a assistant at the Clusius College in Alkmaar.

The work as a starting assistant is very nice, this is mainly because there is a lot of variety possible here in this clinic. Hopefully I will meet you soon!

Veterinarian Nirita

Hi everyone!

I am Nirita Brand and I have just joined the great team of Veterinarian Clinic Vondelpark.

I graduated in June 2013 from the University of Utrecht and since then I have been working as a veterinarian, with the exception of the last 5 months in which I have travelled around the world! However beautiful this period has been, I am more than ready to get back to work.

I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends at the clinic!

Veterinarian Cindy Reijne

‘I graduated in 2013 at the University of Utrecht as a veterinarian for small animals. Since my graduation I’ve been working as a veterinarian and I love it! My interests are internal medicine, radiology and echographics and reproduction.

When I was a child I always had pets (little chicks, rabbits, ducks and hamsters) and now I have two Golden Retrievers named Smash and Vino. During my education I’ve gained a lot of experience by working as an assistant in another clinic and in the emergency clinic in Amsterdam. I also have worked as a volunteer at a sterilization/castration-project in Albania. In my spare time I like to play tennis, see my friends and travel. For my graduation-project I’ve been to New-Zealand and Australia, where I have learned a lot and enjoyed visiting these beautiful countries.

You can find me at the clinic most of the time on Tuesdays and Fridays and I look forward to giving the best care to your pet, together with my colleagues.’

Assistant Kelly de Klerk

22 January 2018

Hi my name is Kelly and, together with my dog Jade, I live in Zandvoort. From a young age I always knew that I wanted to work with animals, and in 2010 I graduated as a veterinary technician at the Groenhorst College in Barneveld.

After my studies, I started my career at a regular clinic, then progressing to an emergency clinic for 5,5 years where I learned a lot. The versatility of our job and the contact with pets and their owners is something that I really love. Since November 2016 I have been working in the veterinary clinic Vondelpark. This is a great clinic with an amazing team!

I hope to meet you and your pets soon!

Veterinarian Elsje Peletier

‘Who doesn’t want to be a vet! Off course I wanted this, just like many other small children. At that moment I didn’t really realize what it all meant. I had a romantic image in which all animals will get better, everyone would come in crying and leave laughing. I can tell you, I was right (often..)!

I have the best job in the world! The variation in work, try my best to be the best, see a lot of different pets and owners, in the center of Amsterdam.. we heal a lot of animals, get lots of positive reactions, have a lovely team and we all work hard to make our clinic even better. With better care for your pets and sincere involvement with the owners, we have success! Come meet us soon..’

Veterinarian Laura Reifler

20 November 2017

My name is Laura. Starting at a young age I have always had a great love for animals. I grew up in the countryside of Tanzania where I encountered many types of animals. When we moved to The Netherlands we always had plenty of pets. My love for animals only grew,  and I knew my future path in life was to help take care of animals. For this reason I studied Veterinary Medicine at Utrecht University.  Graduating in 2015,

I started at Veterinary clinic Vondelpark as an intern and loved the clinic. The team is helpful, qualified, involved with both their patients and their owners, and I believe this is the best possible place to work and make a difference. I feel very fortunate that I was able to start here as a veterinarian after my diploma. My main interests are internal medicine and cat medicine, and that is where I’m able to shift my focus.

I love traveling and in my spare time I like to play soccer or just hang out in Amsterdam.

I am looking forward to meeting you and your pet in our clinic.

Assistant Fleur Visser

20 November 2017

Hi there!

My name is Fleur Visser and I have been working at Dierenkliniek Vondelpark as an Assistant and Clinic Manager since October 2016. Before this time I worked in sales and marketing for a number of years after completing my economics studies. At a certain point I decided to do what makes me happy; working with animals! I went back to school and in June 2016 I completed my studies to become a veterinarian assistant.

I haven’t regretted this choice for a day yet. The variety in the work and the combination of working with animals and people makes every day special. Hope to meet you and your furry friend soon!

Assistant Caitlyn Immerzeel

20 November 2017

‘Hi everybody! My name is Caitlyn Immerzeel and I’ve graduated as a paraveterinarian in May 2013. I started looking for a job immediately, and at ‘Dierenkliniek Vondelpark’, I was hired! I got the call even before I was able to pick up my diploma. It was a dream coming true.

I always had an interest in working with animals, as long as I can remember. I was afraid working with a veterinarian might not be for me, because you will face really hard or sad things owners and their pets have to deal with. I wanted to make sure, so I took an internship at a clinic in Amsterdam. I noticed that it gives a very satisfying feeling to help ill animals and to comfort their worried owners. I never want to lose this feeling, so I really have my dream job!

I hope I can help and comfort you also, at the counter or on the phone.
