The following conditions and symptoms can be a reason to bring your pet in for a dermatological examination:
- Itchy skin/scratching/ licking
- Ear infection
- Loss of hair / baldness
- Changes in the fur, nails, skin; colour, scent
Dermatological conditions can have an array of causes, for example food allergy or atopy ( allergy for something in the environment), demodex ( puppy mange) or other mite- and fungal infections. Thorough examination will help us to find the underlying cause.
The cause of the complaints can be found by doing microscopic examination and blood tests, doing fungal and bacterial cultures, and doing allergy tests.
